2 nice fan arts found. One is anime style and other is other anime style. Both are nice stylish pen drawing.
CutterCross created a Sunsoft style music that playing in Corridors 7, 8, 17 & 18 in The Guardian Legend. Really nice to hear how the music would in different chip-tune style. Check it out!

I also added a nice ammount of new fan art to the art gallery. Check it out too!
Rollie is a new NES game by the guy under nickname Optomon/Optovania. He is the creator of The Guardian Legend: Secret Edition. And also a number of nice mods. Now he created his very own game from scratch.
He started a kickstarter company here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/optovania/rollie-a-new-game-for-the-classic-nintendo-nes
So you can back the project right now if you want. Or wait when kickstarter campaign ends.
The official game’s site: http://rolliegame.com/
Or the topic on our forum by the author of the game: http://theguardianlegend.com/forum/index.php/topic,2082.0.html
Another game similar to ours Zaider – Battle of Peguss (超戦士ザイダーバトルオブペガス). You can walk out of the ship and walk in somewhere. I don’t know details. There is no walkthrough around. The game is on MSX 1986. Ability to walk inside buildings seems interesting. I read that weapon(s?) can be upgraded. The terrible scrolling is not in this game only. It is quite common for MSX games back then.
Also on nicovideo I found probably a remix of the title theme. Sounds nice so I adding it.
What if The Guardian Legend was made by Sunsoft? It would sound something like this:
The youtube video sounds a bit like lower quality mp3. So here is link to soundcloud, in case you are interested: https://soundcloud.com/paul-haas-752206774/area-34-8-the-guardian-legend-famitracker-2a03-sunsoft-style-cover
A little bit more music found today. This one is not so good but it’s OK. It’s rather like medley with various songs from the game:
So a lot of you probably heard of JJJJJJJ password in The Guardian Legend. But there is a problem. You are sent to the Area 8 without the cross key. So you can’t go out.
Today I’ve got an idea. I went to the password generator and inserted the JJJJJJJJJ code. And then I set the cross key check box. So it generated the new password which does the same but with the key! And the main reason I want to share the password is because it has only 2 characters changed. So it’s also very easy one.
JJJJ JJJJ JJJJ JJJJ
JJJJ JJIJ JJJJ JJOJ
[EDIT]well I checked it and – the corridor 9 is completed but there is no key for zone 10. Which means this – even if there was cross key then JJJJ still was not possible to beat.
I came back to the password generator and added the missing key. Which makes it not really the thing which we would want. But, if someone wants:
JJJJ JJJJ JJJJ JJJJ
JJJJ JJMJ JJJJ JJCJ
This one has the bended rectange key.
Once again the guy jzpfplaying recorded something from The Guardian Legend soundtrack. He records a lot of tunes for different games. But our interest is TGL 🙂 So lets check it out!
Very nice fan art based on the original Japanese cover art. Or maybe drawn over.
The Japanese cover was made in somewhat H. R. Giger style. This one also has something from that creepy feeling of Giger’s works (most known for xenomorph from Alien franchise).
Full size picture can be found in our gallery along with other great fan art.
I think if the game was in this kind of style then it would be creepy. Or even a horror. Not sure if I would want that.
